PRACTICE INFORMATION
FIRST AND FOREMOST. . All parents are invited and ENCOURAGED to attend as many practice sessions as possible. . Please realize, NO COACH can prevent you from attending practice (if you choose to attend). . However, all instruction will be handled by the coaches/advisors. Please do NOT interfere with practice sessions, by trying to speak with and/or teach your child. Our coaches are very capable of instructing your children.
Each coach/advisor has his or her own practice policy. Our coaches/advisors expect all players and cheerleaders to be at EVERY practice session! However, we are aware that there will be certain situations that it is just impossible for your child to be at practice. We do expect a courtesy phone call to let us know if your child will not be at practice. Every coach/advisor spends a great deal of time planning and preparing practice agendas. When a child is absent from practice, it changes the whole dynamic of the planned practice. We need time to make the necessary alterations to our practice agendas!
Please keep in mind, even though you may have notified your child's coach ahead of time that your child will not be at practice, the fact still remains that your child was NOT at practice (for whatever reason). Every coach/advisor reserves the right to limit your child's participation due to excessive absence or tardiness! So, please make every effort to get your child to practice ON TIME, EVERY NIGHT!
Over the course of the first few weeks (beginning on July 22nd), most football teams and cheerleading squads will practice Monday through Friday (late afternoon/early evening). However, there are RARE occasions that coaches will conduct a morning practice! Please let your child's coach know if you cannot get your child to a morning practice session. We can arrange to pick your child up for practice (with your consent). Once we play our first NAJFL game, we will only practice three (3) nights per week!
We are well aware that we have many families in our organization that have multiple children participating at various levels of play. We will do our BEST to make sure all of our teams are practicing on the same nights and times (if possible). Unfortunately, since most of our coaches/advisors are involved in various other organizations and clubs in town, it can be very difficult for all teams to schedule practice on the same day, same place, and same time! Our coaches/advisors will schedule practice based on their personal availability. We appreciate your understanding with this matter!
